Tag Heuer is the first watch manufacturer to have its name as part of an F1 team’s official title. It has launched a special series of TAG Heuer Formula 1 Red Bull Racing Team watches.
The move came about after the historic partnership started between the watchmaker and the four-time Formula 1 Double World Champions, which also saw the Tag Heuer brand included in the name of this year’s car, the Red Bull Racing – TAG Heuer RB12.
The exclusive 43mm timepieces feature a polished and brushed steel case with a matte blue aluminium bezel. The matching blue dial is punctuated with white indexes as well as the chronograph sub-dials at the 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions. The red seconds hand against the predominantly blue face provide a pop of moving colour. The colour scheme has been purposefully designed to match the official colours of the Red Bull Racing Team.
The TAG Heuer watches are available in two versions: a steel bracelet or textile bracelet complete with red stitching, which reflects the seat belts in the racing car. Finally, the case back is engraved with a chequered flag as well as the racing team’s logo.
