Rolex Ref. 116509 Back to the more subtle end of the spectrum, this black dial 116509 is a really charming white gold Daytona version, and one which begins appearing like a pretty good deal when you consider that it is trading hands for maybe $10 over the steel Daytona versions nowadays. The dial with this ref. 116509 is furnished with Arabic numerals, and the sporty red accents make this one a simple favorite. Being a recent/current model, it is powered by the grade 4130 motion, and is of equivalent spec as the 116500LN, aside from the lack of a ceramic bezel.

Rolex Daytona Ref. 116523 We decided to throw this 116523 into the mix not just due to its classy grey/anthracite dial up and two-tone case and bracelet combo, but also due to its sticker price that was very approachable. Often floating round the 13 -$15k range, these Daytona watches are a real bargain when you consider that the popularity of two-tone timepieces has been skyrocketing again in the last year or so, and also a two-tone Daytona can often be obtained for under the price of a stainless steel . It is a sleeper in the market right now, and with so many other men Daytona watches (and Rolex timepieces generally ) climbing in value, this is a real smart purchase.

116508 Skipping the ceramic bezel, but sticking with valuable metals, this variant of this 116508 is anything but”under the radar”. Dials have fallen back into favor recently, and it sounds Rolex was a fantastic way ahead of the curve on this one. Actually, if memory serves correctly they’ve maintained their use of gold/champagne dials for many decades. In any event, the gold on configuration with accents and black sub-dials gives a more classic feel, making it difficult to believe that the piece is actually a modern Daytona reference to this piece.
