The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands plays home to Audemars Piguet’s second boutique in Singapore. An integrated resort, Marina Bay Sands takes luxurious lifestyle to new heights. Three skyscrapers are topped by a unique 340m-long SkyPark and a 150m infinity swimming pool. The renowned Moshe Safdie Architects conceptualised the 20-hectare casino resort, developed by Las Vegas Sands.
Situated right along the Marina Bay waterfront, the most prestigious brands have their boutiques here. Audemars Piguet’s elegant 110 square meter boutique is the latest addition, located on basement 2 of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. The interior design of the Swiss watchmaker’s new shop captures the brand’s core values, which are taken from its original concept design. Artistry, origins and extraordinary relationships are the evident theme of both the 140-year old brand and its new boutique.
The village of Le Brassus in the Vallée de Joux in Switzerland is the birthplace of Audemars Piguet. This is obvious to the clients visiting the new boutique, where the intermix of stones, oak, metal and idyllic landscapes of the village mesmerizse the on-looker. A magnificent chandelier design reminds one of the clouds and fog which often hover above Vallée de Joux, while the extra-large screen draws the clients’ attention to the beauty of the actual area, where the watches are made in Switzerland.
Within the shop, there are two separate areas. One is “The Manufacture” which has a watchmaker’s bench for technical advice and product displays in detail. The other space, known as the “The Audemars Piguet House” is just that. It has a full service welcome bar and lounge where watch enthusiasts can relax and discuss the latest watch models at length over an cocktail or an espresso and feel at home in a luxury setting. Statement pieces displayed all around the new boutique, celebrate the brand’s tribute to fine watchmaking.
