Beyond creating some of the world’s finest watches, Audemars Piguet continues to curate the world’s finest golf team. This means securing Danny Willett as the Swiss watchmaker’s newest brand Ambassador.
Since winning the European Tour in 2012 at the BMW International Open, Willett has most recently climbed the rankings to 2nd place in the Race to Dubai. The 27-year old Brit has been recognized for his refined style; matching a uniquely controlled power with profound skill. His journey to the top has consisted of numerous notable victories including winning the South African Nedbank Golf Challenge in December 2014 followed by the WGC Matchplay in San Francisco this past April.
Willett is now at the top of his game as he joins the coveted Audemars team. The watchmakers are known for selecting ambassadors that possess skills of self-control and perfection, whether on the green or off. It is a team acknowledged for elegance and precision of both character and performance. Known as the Dream Team, Willett will now be part of this elite group of golf legends. This means playing with the likes of Keegan Bradley, Bud Cauley, Darren Clare, Victor Dubuisson, Ian Poulter, Peter Uihlein, Lee Westwood and many other world famous golf professionals. Danny Willett represents what is a beacon of hope for resurgence in British golf. Above anything else, he fully embodies Audemars Piguet’s philosophy; “To break the rules, you must first master them.”
