The Classic Fusion Aero Moon is Hublot’s very first moon-phase, but the master of the “Art of Fusion” has once again found the right recipe by combining the contemporary architecture of a skeleton watch with a classic moon phase indication in natural mother-of-pearl. Hermès presented a number of ultra-thin watches in its new collection at Baselworld 2015, and if the brand’s new watches cut an impressive figure, they continued to weight-in with impressive complications, including the Slim d’Hermès Perpetual Calendar. The Chronométrie Quantième Annuel Vasco da Gama is the latest addition to the Vasco da Gama collection, which has highlighted the Portuguese explorer’s greatest discoveries. 4 The Most Discreet – Zenith El Primero 410 Tribute to Charles Vermot Limited Edition
Blink and you might miss it. The moon phase on the Zenith El Primero 410 Tribute to Charles Vermot is tucked inside the sub dial at 6 o’clock and its deep blue night sky matches the (somewhat ironically named) sunray-patterned dial. Its golden moon and stars peer though the chronograph hands’ star – the logo of Zenith – and adds a dash of refinement to this already handsome limited edition chronograph. 5 The Most Extraterrestrial – Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Calendar Meteorite Dial
Jaeger-LeCoultre expanded the universe of the Master Calendar during this year’s SIHH by introducing a new model that retains the same layout, movement and dimensions as last year’s, but adds a mesmerizing meteorite dial.
