To celebrate the Heuer Monza 40th Anniversary, Tag Heuer reissues the historical model maintaining the two key functions – the pulsometer and the tachymeter scale and using the original font.
Like the original, the coussin case is all black. Instead, the hour and minute hands are black and white lacquered with indices treated with vintage orange Super-LumiNova.
The historic Heuer logo on the dial is used to remark the model’s place in the manufacture’s historic collection.
The case, whose diameter has been increased from 39 mm to 42 mm, is now made from grade 5 titanium coated with titanium carbide so combining extreme lightness with a powerful matt black appearance. It offers water resistance to 100 metres / 330 feet. Crown and push-buttons are made of polished steel. The screw-on back is numbered and features the historic logo engraved with red lacquer finish.
Inside, the self-winding Tag Heuer Calibre 17 with rapid date correction beats at 28,800 vph and delivers about 42 hours of power reserve.
