Watch Insider: 10 Watches From 2014 With That “Certain Something”
Some watches simply “have it” and some do not. These 10 timepieces, to me, have that certain something that sets them apart. Scroll down to see my choices.
These are the watches introduced in 2014 that appeal most to the emotions of your Watch Insider, plain and simple. No other criteria have been taken into account, and the list is alphabetical, not a 1 through 10 ranking. So, without further ado:
A. Lange & Söhne Grand Lange 1 Moon Phase
I have always liked the Lange 1, and this newest version, with its perfectly integrated moon-phase indication, is simply a stunning timepiece.
Alpina Genève Alpiner 4 Chronograph
When I saw the first prototype of this watch earlier this year, I proclaimed it “a very cool chronograph,” and up until today, my opinion has not changed.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph
Yes, it’s essentially just an Offshore Chronograph presented in a new color. But it is still a watch that has a unique appeal. The gray color appears as if its made to last forever.
